Grade 7 (£27,323 - £30,311 per annum) (37 hours)

An opportunity has arisen in the Resources Department for a motivated individual to prepare prompt and accurate Budgetary Statements and financial forecasts in accordance with the reporting requirements of the Authority, Corporate Management Team and spending departments, you will also be required to prepare final accounts, estimates working documents and other financial management information as allocated by the Chief Accountant – Revenue Services (with particular responsibility for the Waste Management & Environment Portfolio).

 

The successful candidate will be required to undertake supervisory duties in respect of the Senior Accountancy Assistant and monitor expenditure and income throughout the financial year

 

You will possess 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths grade A to C, or equivalent, AAT or equivalent qualification, experience of working in a financial environment and proven experience of working with computerised general ledger and appropriate feeder systems.

 

The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
