An opportunity has arisen within the Revenues & Benefits Division to work as an Administrative Assistant on the Universal Support – Delivered Locally Project. The aim of the project is to provide support to a group of customers in receipt of Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits, to identify barriers, in order to support them in preparation for the introduction of Universal Credit.
 
The successful candidate will be required to liaise with IT to identify individuals to target for universal support assistance, issue letters and answer phone calls from participants of the project. You will be required to refer cases to support agencies, collate information and statistics as well as access the DWP CIS system to review individuals circumstances.
 
Educational attainments for the position include 5 GCSE or O Levels at Grade C or above to include English and Maths or equivalent. You must be able to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.
