Job Summary

                 

The role of the IT Support Analyst is to aid and support the Corporate and Schools Support Team Leader in the Resources Department.

 

This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to become a member of the Schools PC Support Team and assisting in the installation, maintenance, and upgrading personal computers, desktop printers, virtual desktops and peripherals.

The Resources Department is looking for a motivated individual to assist in the support and maintenance of the Authority’s voice and data network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing continuous improvement, to initiate, facilitate and responding to change in a positive manner.

 

This position will require the candidate to act on standby or call-out duty when necessary and to be available for planned weekend work if needed.

 

The successful candidate will need to be educated to a HNC/HND Level in Computer Science or relevant degree or MCSE qualification. Practical experience of PC Support in a business environment is essential as well as having a good technical background in I.T. and a full driving licence.

 

This post is open to permanent, fixed term and temporary (with 12 months continuous employment) employees of BGCBC only.

 

The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
