Job Summary:
 
The role of the Contracts/Brokerage Assistant is to aid and support the Commissioning, Contracts and Facilities Team Manger. The main responsibility of the candidate is to maintain and assist an  effective and efficient Brokerage Service, to provide support and contribute to the commissioning, development, implementation and monitoring of a contractual framework, which will deliver Best Value and good practice across the Social Services Department.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support and assist in the day to day functions of the Contracts and Commissioning Team by supporting all members of the Team. 
 
The candidate will be required to assist the team by using brokering packages to help identify and to select the appropriate service provider for requested packages of care. The candidate will be expected to be flexible, to organize their own workload and to support the demands imposed by the service.
 
The successful candidate will need to be qualified to a NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or in a relevant field and it is imperative that they have administrative experience. Other essential experience includes using the full Microsoft Office Package, the ability to work within a team and to remain calm under pressure.
