Job SummaryThe Education Department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to aid and support the Acting Principal Educational Psychologist. The role includes consulting and supporting work with schools, pupils, parents/carers and other agencies.Full AdvertAn exciting opportunity has arisen in the Education Department for the role of Educational Psychologist to cover maternity leave. The main responsibility is to provide a professional applied psychological service to a specific patch of schools in order to address the developmental, educational and psychological needs of children and young people in a holistic manner.In addition to this, the successful candidate will be required to develop and apply effective interventions to promote learning, psychological well being, social, emotional and behavioural development.It is essential that the candidate has an Honours degree (or equivalent) in psychology recognised by the British Psychological Society. Other experience includes relevant teaching experience, knowledge of SEN legislation and a range of assessment techniques and strategies that are suitable for children and young people.The position carries Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process.
