Grade 5 (£20,849 - £23,698 pro rata) 5 hours

An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Registrar within the Corporate Services and Strategy Department of Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. The successful candidate will deputise for the Registrar to register deaths, marriages and civil partnerships in accordance with the law. You will deputise for the Superintendent Registrar to conduct marriage and civil partnership ceremonies attest notices of marriage and civil partnerships arrange and conduct citizenship ceremonies and other duties commensurate with the role in accordance with law.

 

Educational attainments for the post include 5 GCSE’s including Math’s and English. You should have knowledge of registration law and be able to administer it in accordance with all regulations and instructions

 

The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.

 

Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
