Job SummaryThe Service Manager for Children’s Services is looking to appoint a Team Manager for 14+ Team, to ensure that the needs of children, young people, their families and care leavers are assessed and that appropriate services are provided to them.Full AdvertThe successful candidate will possess the knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation, guidance and regulations and they be committed to working in partnership with children, young people and their families.The successful candidate will ensure that work is allocated appropriately within the team and that work is recorded, managed and prioritised to agreed timescales and standards.The promotion of good working relationships with other organisations and agencies is an essential part of the role and also to develop effective joint working arrangements with the statutory and voluntary bodies in areas appropriate for the children and young people’s needs.Educational attainments for the position are a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent Social Work qualification and registration with a Care Council. Experience of working in partnership with children, their families and other agencies is an essential requirement along with experience in supervising staff and/or students.The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle and a full driving licence for work purposes is a requirement for this role.Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process.
