Job Summary
 
The Performance Officer supports the delivery of the Council’s Performance Management and Improvement Framework, with a lead role in the production of performance analysis and management information for Adult Social Services. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination, validation and presentation of performance indicators, which includes the submission of statutory returns to the Welsh Government
 
This post is also available as a secondment opportunity. Before applying for this secondment opportunity, candidates should seek approval to be released from their current post by their Line Manager.
 
Secondments are available to permanent staff of the Authority only.

As Performance Officer you will lead on the collation, validation and submission of statutory returns for Adult Social Services to the Welsh Government and lead on co-ordinating and monitoring performance data for Adult Social Services. You will work within the Council’s Performance Consolidation, undertaking Council wide performance and improvement work as required
 
You will be educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent or possess considerable experience in a similar role. You will have experience of producing and submitting performance indicators/statutory returns and establishing processes to capture and monitor performance data.
 
Essential attributes include excellent communication and numeracy skills, attention to detail with the ability to highlight /challenge operational underperformance and a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office with particular attention on the analysing and manipulation of data to produce management information.
 
 
The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
 
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
