Job Summary         
 
To lead on identified and focussed projects for the Workforce Development Service.
As part of the service, contribute to the delivery and assurance that statutory obligations regarding training, qualification, and professional body and council registration are met.

As part of the Workforce Development Team you will provide a consultative, advisory and interpretation service to management and employees as well as research and interpret business needs into workforce development/planning solutions.
 
In co-operation with other Project Officers, public, private and third sector organisations, you will work to develop and deliver cost effective solutions in a variety of areas including the training of staff and service users to safeguard the vulnerable. This involves ensuring that all regulatory and statutory requirements for qualifications, competence, and registration are met.
 
You will be required to research and implement improvements/recommendations in several areas, including; planning solutions, policy documentation, management skill, knowledge of services, sources of funding.
 
An essential qualification for the role is CIPD (Chartered Institute of People and Development) Certificate Level or Management or Workforce Development Qualification to Level 4/5 or teaching qualification or Social Work degree. Essential skills include those in advanced IT use, HR systems, research and development, consultancy and coaching.
 
Experience in Organisational development, the Children’s Act and the protection of vulnerable adults is desirable as are staff and project management skills.
 
The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
