This post is open to permanent, fixed term and temporary (with 24 months continuous employment) employees of BGCBC only.

An opportunity has arisen for a Registrars Assistant within the Corporate Services and Strategy Department of Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. The successful candidate will carry out administrative duties such as logging incoming and outgoing post, telephone calls, e-mail enquiries and face to face customer enquiries. You will be required to search historic records and produce copy certificates when required. You should have experience of dealing with the public, excellent communication skills and be flexible as will be required to work weekends.

The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.

Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
