1 Full-time, Permanent Position

The Governing Body of St Illtyd’s Primary School wish to offer a permanent contract for a Leader of Learning for Inclusion and Wellbeing. The post holder would ideally be able to teach in any class across the Primary Phase, assume the role of ALNCo, strategic lead for LAC, MAT, EAL and the tracking of provision and progress for eFSM learners. You will also be able to lead Health and Wellbeing as an Area of Learning across the primary phase. The successful applicant will have an up to date knowledge and understanding of current curriculum reform and ALN reform in Wales. You do not need to be an experienced ALNCo but you will need to be passionate about further developing our inclusive ethos and ensuring that learning and teaching to support this is at the cutting edge. You will have the knowledge and ambition to ensure that experience, attainment and achievement are maximised. The post will commence in January 2018.

A new Headteacher took up post in January 2017 and this is a promising opportunity to join the school at an exciting stage in its improvement journey. The successful applicant will assist us in shaping the ethos of the school and embedding our new mission statement that we will all be the BEST that we can be; Believe, Enrich, Succeed Together. You will help to drive our school forward on our journey towards excellence.

Short listing:  9:00am, Thursday 14th September 2017

Shortlisted candidates will be observed in their own setting w/c 18th September 2017, and be expected to be in school all day for an interview on Monday 25th September 2017. You will be notified by Friday 15th September of your lesson observation day /time.
