Job Summary

Acting as Relief Deputy Registrar to register Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships.  Acting also as Deputy Superintendent Registrar to attest Notices of Marriage, conduct Marriage and Civil Partnership Ceremonies.  To also undertake administration duties as and when required.  Must be flexible and able to work weekends and Bank holidays and be able to cover for annual and sick leave of Principal Officers.

This post is an internal advertisement, open to Permanent and Fixed Term employees of Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council.  Temporary employees are eligible to apply providing they have 24 months continuous employment with the Authority.

The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.

Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process.  The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.

Hours: Minimum of 5 hours per week to include weekends & some Bank Holidays
