The Governing Body of St Illtyd’s Primary School wish to offer a permanent contract for a Deputy Headteacher.  The post holder would ideally be able to teach in any class across the Primary Phase, although in the first instance this will be in KS2.  You will also be able to offer expertise and lead an Area of Learning and Experience across the primary phase.  This will depend on your experience and skill set.  The successful applicant will have an up to date knowledge and understanding of current curriculum reform and ALN reform in Wales.  You will have the knowledge and ambition to ensure that experience, attainment and achievement are maximised.  The post will commence in January 2019.

Shortlisted candidates will be assessed in 2 stages:

Stage 1: Candidates will be observed in their own setting by the Headteacher between 11 October and 18 October.  You will be notified by Friday 5 October of your lesson observation day/time.

Stage 2: If invited to interview, candidates will be expected to be in school all day for an interview on Monday 22 October 2018.  All candidates will be notified by 10:00am on Friday 19 October if they are required for interview on Monday 22 October.  The interview will be a full day on Monday 22 October.
