An excellent career opportunity has arisen within the Social Services Directorate for a highly motivated and experienced individual. 

 

The position requires a proven track record of successfully running major social care services for children at a senior level participating in the formulation and implementation of departmental objectives, policies and strategies. A record of success in communicating and engaging with a wide range of internal and external bodies, building partnerships and productive working relationships and positively promoting organisational reputation and interests and evidence of championing successful change management within a complex and demanding environment; developing, leading and implementing strategies and change programmes to secure continuous service improvement, successful outcomes and significant operational service changes.

 

The successful candidate will possess a Social Work Qualification (Social Work degree, DipSW, CQSW, CSS) and a qualification in Management would also be desirable.

 

The position carries an Approved Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle is a requirement.

 

Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
