This post can also be offered as a secondment opportunity. Before applying for this as a secondment opportunity, candidates should seek approval to be released from their current post by their Line Manager. Secondments are available to permanent staff of the Authority only.
The Quickstart BG Mentor will be required to support local employers to access the programme and create appropriate work placements, whilst working in partnership to identify suitable candidates for the positions.
The successful candidate will, in partnership, facilitate pre-employment training to applicants prior to interview and mentor the participants throughout their time on placement, monitoring and recording training and progress.
Acting as a central point of contact for information, the Quickstart BG Mentor will have experience in partnership working across the public and private sector as well as working with and mentoring people.
The ability to work under pressure and prioritise work, communicate effectively and possess a good knowledge of a range of ICT systems will be key within this role.
Access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
