An exciting and rewarding opportunity has opened for an enthusiastic individual to join the authority’s Youth Service to help support and manage the SPF funded 11-16 team.
As the Team Leader- Education, Employment & Training you will work closely with the Youth Service Team Manager (EET) to develop and support youth work provision within the secondary educational establishments within Blaenau Gwent. You will support the monitoring and evaluation of the project and report on the projects delivery and achievements. As this post is agile, you will have the ability to undertake the role within Youth Service facilities and at home.
You will support the SPF 11-16 Youth Workers to meet the outcomes of the SPF project, support the development of the provision for young people and contribute to the Blaenau Gwent Youth Engagement and Progression Framework Action Plan and attend its various associated meetings.
Required skills include:
- excellent interpersonal / communication skills
- excellent organisational skills
- experience of supporting and the development of staff
- experience of partnership working and development of partnerships
- experience of monitoring and evaluating projects
- the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-agency team
Essential to the role is a relevant professional qualification in Youth Work and the ability to register as a ‘Youth Worker’ with the EWC (Wales)
If you have studied Youth Work as part of a qualification that would allow you to be registered as a ‘Youth Worker’ with the EWC and it is not clearly identified in the qualifications title, please state in your application what was undertaken and to what level.
Access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement of the role.
