An exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Environmental Health Practitioner with significant experience in private sector housing enforcement and renewal to become a key member of Blaenau Gwent’s Public Protection Service. The postholder will lead on bringing empty properties back into use to add to the local stock of good quality housing. In the role, as part of a wider Housing Standards and Pollution Team, you will be primarily responsible for dealing with empty properties by the undertaking of inspections and investigations as a result of service requests or proactive projects. You will be responsible for providing relevant advice (including access to financial support) and//or taking necessary enforcement action to improve standards and ensure compliance with appropriate legislation.
The successful candidate will have access to the Authority’s flexible working scheme.
