About the role
Foster Wales is a national initiative that brings together all 22 local authority fostering teams across Wales. Our goal is simple: to increase the number of local authority foster carers so that more children can stay in their communities, close to everything familiar. As a Regional Marketing Officer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering impactful marketing strategies to recruit more foster carers across South East Wales. You will be responsible for planning and executing multi-channel campaigns, utilising digital and traditional media to reach the right audiences. Working closely with local authorities and fostering teams, you will ensure that messaging is clear, compelling, and aligned with the national Foster Wales brand. A key part of your role will involve leading the rebranding efforts within the region, ensuring that all marketing materials reflect the vision and values of Foster Wales.
In addition to content creation, you will manage website updates and digital content, optimising visibility and engagement. Your role will also involve monitoring and analysing campaign performance, using key metrics and data insights to refine strategies and enhance effectiveness. Collaboration is central to this position—you will work alongside the National Marketing Manager, other Regional Marketing Officers, and key stakeholders to ensure consistency across all marketing efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to use your marketing expertise to make a meaningful impact, helping to transform foster care recruitment and change children’s lives for the better.
About you
We are looking for an experienced, creative, and strategic marketing professional who is passionate about making a difference. You will have a strong background in marketing, communications, or digital media, with expertise in campaign planning, content creation, and brand management. A confident communicator, you will be comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders, from local authority teams to fostering services, ensuring consistent and effective messaging. You’ll thrive in an environment where you can take initiative, think creatively, and develop compelling marketing materials that inspire action. Strong analytical skills will be essential, as you’ll need to assess campaign performance, interpret data, and adapt strategies to maximise impact. Most importantly, you will be driven by the opportunity to use your skills for a meaningful cause—helping more children find loving, stable foster homes within their communities.
