This is an internal advertisement, open to current employees of the Council only.
An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual to carry out principal accountabilities of their designated role and to provide flexible support in delivering the Division’s work plan across the County Borough, specifically in highways & winter maintenance, but as & when required in street cleaning, waste & recycling, cemeteries and grounds maintenance.
Essential requirements are possession of an HGV Category “C” License, proven experience of driving a heavy goods vehicle and previous experience or knowledge of tachograph work. The post holder will be expected to have supervisory experience of highway activities, hold a NRSWA Supervisor qualification and to understand the need of confidentially when dealing with staff matters. They shall also demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Other essential requirements are willingness to undertake any training that is relevant to the role and to have an understanding of the Council’s work plans and challenges in meeting standards and public expectations
