Split Shift 37 hours per week, full time (6.00am – 9.30am and 3.00pm - 7pm - Mon -Thurs ) (6.00am – 9.30am and 3.00pm - 6.30pm – Friday) Abertillery Primary School are seeking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic and trustworthy Caretaker to join our team to carry out cleaning, caretaking and premises maintenance duties at the school to commence on as soon as possible but no later than 1st September 2015 on a permanent contract. You will have responsibility for the security of the school buildings and grounds, and take a lead role, together with the Headteacher and School Office Manager, in ensuring that the premises are maintained to a high standard. This will involve undertaking cleaning duties, minor maintenance and repairs. Experience in cleaning, completing handyperson tasks is required, together with a basic understanding of health and safety procedures. Experience of working in a school or similar environment is desirable but not essential.
