Appointment for September 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter. 

Governors are seeking to appoint an innovative and inspirational Headteacher that is an outstanding practitioner committed to raising standards for all learners and teaching of the highest standing to further the success of Brynmawr Foundation School and ensure that the school provides the best opportunities for all children.

  • The school is a Foundation Secondary School (Age 11-16) and serves the wider community of Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council.
  • It is located on the fringes of the Brecon Beacons National Park an area of outstanding natural beauty, within easy travelling distance of Cardiff, Newport and adjacent to the Heads of Valley road.
  • The School is proud of it sporting heritage and facilities and its ongoing association with national, regional and local sporting organisations.
