Job Summary

The Customer Contact Services Representative provides advice, support and understanding to a wide range of customers enquiring about all Council services through multiple channels of access.   Enquiries may be made via various methods such as telephone, e-mail, fax, website or social media. You will be responsible for resolving a high level of calls at the initial point of contact.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual as a Customer Contact Service Representative within the Information, Advice and Assistance Team. You will be required to listen patiently, to empathise with the customer’s situation and convey a genuine desire to help and support.  The successful candidate will also work with colleagues within the Contact Centre and other services areas to ensure the highest levels of first time resolution and customer service utilising agreed business processes and standards for data recording.

Educational attainments for the post include NVQ Customer Service / Call Handling or similar qualification within Social Services or a Social Care setting. Previous experience in delivering customer focused information and advice in a Social Services / Care Environment is essential.

Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
