Assisting Senior Engineers in the design and maintenance of the building services at new and existing commercial properties within the County Borough.

An excellent opportunity for an Assistant Building Services Engineer has arisen within Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council.

The successful candidate will form part of the design team responsible for delivering Mechanical and Electrical schemes at both pre and post construction phases. The role also forms part of the reactive and planned maintenance team ensuring the councils buildings are maintained to a satisfactory condition. You will assist in liaising and communicating with the construction team on site to ensure projects are delivered effectively. You will also be part of the team responsible for maintaining the Cable Way provision.

Essential requirements for this role are a relevant qualification or equivalent in a mechanical, electrical or building services discipline, together with basic knowledge and understanding of the process and implementation of building services maintenance and / or design. You should also have good IT skills, proficiency with e-mail and office software and an ability to understand services technical drawings & specifications.

 

The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
