An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Work Practitioner to join the Statutory Assessment Team within Blaenau Gwent Children’s Services. The successful person will have the opportunity to join a supportive team and be a part of a new pilot in Blaenau Gwent.
Blaenau Gwent is currently undertaking a 12-month pilot whereby the Statutory Assessment Team is responsible for the completion of section 47 enquiries and consent based Integrated Assessments. Cases transfer from the Statutory Assessment Team when the assessment is completed.
You will have the opportunity to manage a varied case load focusing on what matters to children, young people and families, building on and supporting families to identify their own strengths and resources, managing risk collaboratively with multi agency professionals as well as encouraging the development of independence skills.
