The Regeneration and Community Services Directorate within Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council are currently recruiting a mobile team of Cleaning Operatives to undertake cleaning duties in Schools and Corporate Buildings throughout Blaenau Gwent.
There will be four positions available, each at 15 hours per week, covering various locations throughout Blaenau Gwent. Full training will be given in line with the expectations of these cleaning roles.
The successful candidates will maintain the cleaning standards in schools/corporate building. This will be achieved by cleaning any designated area to a set standard by use of chemicals, equipment and machinery. You will maintain your cupboard, equipment and machinery by cleaning and correct storage after use. You will also place orders when you require replacement chemicals and equipment.
The successful candidates should be able to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative and willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the post.
Educational Attainments / Experience
COSHH and basic Health and Safety experience is desirable.
A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
