We are looking for Children’s Residential Workers for the following –
- 9 x Children’s Residential Workers – 32.3 hours per week (average over a 3-week rota pattern) following a 10am – 11pm shift pattern including a sleep in shift every other shift.
- 1 x Children’s Residential Worker – 32.5 hours per week, Evenings (Monday-Friday) 4pm – 11pm.
- 1 x Weekend Children’s Residential Worker – 24 hours per week (Sat and Sun) 10am – 11pm.

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council is looking to appoint an Assistant Educational Psychologist on a fixed term basis from February 1st, 2025 to July 31st, 2025. The Educational Psychology Service works in schools and other educational settings to support children and young people. We aim to help schools and parents/carers find a way of moving a situation forward when a problem has been identified. Our work is summarised by our three key messages as:
- capacity building using evidence-based systemic approaches;
- consultation with school staff and others to ’unstick’ barriers to learning; and,
- working at an individual level, informed by psychological and therapeutic theories and practice.
